First Steps for Project

In this project, our first step was creating spatial graphs of different metals on the surface of Paramecium Pond. We only graphed elements that had detectable concentrations, eliminating elements that had concentrations below the level of detection.

This week, we want to compare the levels of metals throughout the sediment core. We want to observe how element levels fluctuate throughout the depths. Is there a correlation between certain elements and their levels of concentration? Is there a reason why certain elements have higher concentrations in general (overall depth)? Results: This last graph shows a very high concentration of Iron. We are interested in seeing how the levels of iron change over spatial deviation and if the levels are similar to the relatively high levels found in the core.
